Gujrati Dal



• 1/2 pound PTI Toor Dal
• PTI Pakistani Salt Powder, to taste
• 1/2 teaspoon Sun Saffron
• 4 tablespoons corn oil
• 2 garlic cloves
• 1 teaspoon PTI Cumin Whole


1. Add toordal to 6 cups boiling water, salt and saffron.

2. Boil for 1/2 hour, or until soft.

3. Using an immersion blender, puree peas.

4. In a saucepan add oil, garlic, and cumin and fry until it is dark brown.

5. Then pour oil in Dhal. Let sit for a few minutes.
